‘It’s rewarding, as a dentist, to have the opportunity to help people look, feel, and function better. I realize that good dental habits are not necessarily high on everyone’s list of priorities but I’m grateful to be involved when a person does make the decision to have their needs addressed. My approach is to first understand an individual’s situation and expectations, and then work towards a reasonable and comfortable solution.’
Originally from Finland, Dr. Niklas Resla has lived in England and also spent 10 years in Hendersonville during his youth. ‘Dr. Nick’ graduated from Newbold College, England in 2001 and from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2011. He has practiced in Texas and Oklahoma and is pleased to be back in Western, NC.
Dr. Nick completed a comprehensive Implant Continuum at Baylor College of Dentistry (now the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry) and has been providing implant options for single tooth replacement or for increased denture stability. With current technology, implants can be placed very predictably and can dramatically increase one’s quality of life.
Dr. Nick is also trained in oral sedation dentistry. This provides individuals with high anxiety (that would otherwise prevent them from seeking treatment) to be more relaxed during procedures.
Dr. Nick also has extensive training in Root canals, dentures, restorative and cosmetic work such as fillings, crowns, bridges and veneers.
Dr. Nick loves music and enjoys playing the piano and guitar. Other activities he enjoys include: traveling, exercising and enjoying the great outdoors.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Special Care Dentistry Association.
