Dr. Justin Chang, DDS

Dr. Justin Chang is proud to return home to North Carolina and join the team at Water Oak Dental. A Charlotte native, Dr. Chang earned his Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before completing a Master of Science in Physiology at North Carolina State University. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and is excited to serve patients in the community he has always considered home.

Loma Linda provided Dr. Chang with extensive clinical training in all areas of dentistry, including: Cosmetic Dentistry; Endodontics (root canals); Operative Dentistry (fillings); Prosthodontics (crowns and bridges); Oral Surgery; Periodontics (gums-related problems) as well as Pedodontics (Pediatric Dentistry). He is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, California Dental Society, and the Transylvania County Dental Society. 

Dr. Chang believes that great dentistry begins with listening. He enjoys getting to know each patient, understanding their concerns, and helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit. Whether treating a routine dental need or helping someone through a dental emergency, his goal is to provide honest, conservative care while building lasting relationships based on trust. 

Outside the office, Dr. Chang lives in Arden with his wife, Erin, and their dog, Mocha. He enjoys working out, hiking, disc golf, traveling, attending music festivals, and cheering on the Carolina Panthers and UNC Tar Heels. Passionate about becoming part of the local community, Dr. Chang looks forward to building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles for years to come.
